Objetivos de las asignatura / competencias (2013-14)

The main aim of Inglés Turístico Especializado is: * to provide the students of tourism with the language skills that are necessary for their future careers in this economic sector (level b2- cerf). The specific objectives are: * to develop the student`s ability to communicate in English. * to make the student realize the different dialects, levels, registers and jargons in Tourism English. * to develop the student`s knowledge of tourism in English. * to develop the student`s confidence in English

Contenidos teóricos y prácticos (2013-14)

Unit 1: "The Tourism Industry & Fair Project" Tourism field: Business, organization, management. Grammar: Review of tenses, modals. Instrumentos y criterios de evaluación (2013-14)

Evaluación continua, examen final

Students will be assessed by a WRITTEN TEST and an ORAL EXAMINATION of approximately 10 minutes, and thier independent study on Moodle platform. The student will need a minimum average of 5 out of 10 to pass the subject. None of the partial marks will be kept for the following academic year. - written exam: 60% - oral exam: 20% - moodle: 20% (All the sections are compulsory and the average will not be calculated if any of the partial marks is lower than 4.5)
