Objetivos de las asignatura / competencias (2009-10)

This subjet is oriented to form computer science engineers who can satisfy the great demand present (and future) of professionals specialized in subjects related to Internet (including Intranet and extranet). Also, it tries to enable the students so that they can analyze, plan and program applications client/server based on Web.

Contenidos teóricos y prácticos (2009-10)

** Module I: Introduction to Internet programming - Unit 0: Presentation and objectives of the subjet. - Unit 1: Model client/server. - Unit 2: Internet, Intranet and extranet. ** Module II: Programming of client - Unit 3: HTML and CSS. - Unit 4: Programming of the client: Javascript. ** Module III: Programming of server - Unit 5: Basic programming of server. - Unit 6: Active Server Pages (ASP). - Unit 7: PHP.

Metodología docente (2009-10)

The classes consist of three parts: - Exhibition of subjects. - Resolution of problems. - Proposal of practical exerciseses to solve in the laboratory. The subjects of the subjet can be presented/displayed by the own students, under the supervision of the professor. The problems are solved by students in house and they themselves present/display the solution in class in a later session.

Tipo de actividades: teóricas y prácticas

Throughout the course several directed practical sessions with the purpose of seating base knowledge tendran place. The rest of the sessions they will be of free work to make the practice that will occur to know the beginning of the course and it will be given at the end of the fourth month period. The sessions of directed practices are: - Configuration of Microsoft Internet Information Server. - HTML and CSS. - Validation of forms with Javascript. - Basic programming of a page ASP/PHP. - Access to a databases from a ASP/PHP. - Maintenance of sessions with ASP/PHP. - Programming with CGI.

Instrumentos y criterios de evaluación (2009-10)

The subjet does not have examination. The evaluation of the subjet consists of: - The accomplishment of the general practice (8 points at the most). - The exhibition of the subjects in class or the presentation of the solution to the proposed problems (4 points at the most). The subjet is evaluated on 10 points, to approve is necessary to obtain 5, although a student can obtain 12 points at the most. In order to obtain honour degree, it is necessary to add 10 or more points. For the evaluations of September and December, all the points obtained during the course are kept. It is only possible to present the practice (neither exhibition of the subjects nor presentation of the solution to the problems). Therefore, a student who has not obtained points with the accomplishment of works during the course only will be able to obtain a qualification of 8.
