Conceptuales

1. Conocer los principales géneros, autores y obras de la literatura árabe contemporánea.

2. Conocer los acontecimientos socioculturales de la historia árabe contemporánea para entender la literatura árabe.

3. Conocer los distintos ámbitos geográficos en que se desarrolla la producción literaria árabe de época

contemporánea.

4. Conocer los rasgos estéticos y referenciales característicos de los distintos ámbitos o movimientos que componen la

historia de la literatura árabe contemporánea.

Procedimentales

6. Analizar un texto literario árabe de época contemporánea atendiendo a su forma y mensaje.

7. Relacionar un texto literario árabe de época contemporánea con los acontecimientos socioculturales y a las

particularidades geográficas que lo determinan.

8. Reconocer el ámbito o movimiento literario al que pertenece un texto árabe contemporáneo.

9. Distinguir e identificar los distintos géneros de la literatura árabe contemporánea.

10. Buscar, sintetizar y ordenar información sobre literatura árabe contemporánea y su interpretación crítica.

11. Establecer relaciones entre la tradición literaria árabe y otras tradiciones literarias con voluntad comparativa.

12. Exponer oralmente o por escrito argumentos de valoración personal sobre la literatura árabe contemporánea.

13. Reconocer patrones de comportamiento comunes y deslindar actitudes intelectuales de valor universal.

Actitudinales

14. Mostrar juicio crítico.

15. Mostrar un espíritu reflexivo no excluyente con respecto a los paradigmas culturales, sociales y políticos de la

civilización árabe representados en su literatura.

16. Moderar los valores y actitudes personales sobre el mundo árabe en general atendiendo a una visión tolerante y

plural del ejercicio literario.

17. Estimular el hábito de lectura de textos y obras de la literatura árabe contemporánea a través de traducciones.

18. Estimular el conocimiento del mundo como forma de interpretar e interrelacionar distintas tradiciones literarias.

DEGREE IN CATALAN STUDIES

 

General Competences (CG)

  • CG2 : Capacity to understand the role of language in the construction of human beings as active members of a linguistic and cultural community and relate this to the function of individuals in society.
  • CG3 : Capacity to develop reading, analysis and synthesis techniques.
  • CG4 : Capacity to manage and use the resources provided by the information and communications technologies and apply those to the language and literature industries.
  • CG5 : Ability to understand the main stages, movements, writers and works of the literature of the second language.
  • CG7 : Social commitment to the equality of men and women, the plurality and diversity of the realities of modern society, to peace and democracy.

 

General Competences acquired at University of Alicante (CGUA)

  • CGUA1 : Capacity to communicate in a second language in communicative situations (oral and written), with students acquiring a level equivalent to B1 of the common European framework of reference.
  • CGUA2 : Ability to use basic ICT tools at user level.
  • CGUA3 : Ability to communicate effectively and have linguistic understanding of one of the two official languages of the Region of Valencia (Spanish or Catalan) in their discipline.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE9 : Capacity to identify the currents of literary criticism, their categories, concepts and nomenclature as a key factor in the development of the capacity to criticise and analyse text (literary, cinematographic, advertising), as regards the creative manifestation and reflection of the sociocultural context.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE11 : Capacity to use pertinent resources and materials: bibliographic repertories, reference works and the new ICTs as an autonomous learner able to control the learning process and progress independently in it.
  • CE12 : Capacity to respect, value and take advantage of multilingualism and multiculturalism as a social agent participating in building a plural and tolerant society on the basis of the multicultural configuration of the Francophone world.
  • CE13 : Understand one of the second languages offered on the degree course.
  • CE14 : Capacity to interpret and analyse the main stages, movements, writers and works of the Literature of a second language.
  • CE15 : Acquire level B1 of the CEFR in one of the second languages offered on the degree course.
  • CE6 : Capacity to analyse and criticise literary texts as a creative manifestation and reflection of the sociocultural context.
  • CE9 : Capacity to interpret, produce and develop explanatory and explicative academic documents and technical reports associated with the discipline.

  • CP19 : Capacity to identify currents of literary criticism, their categories, concepts and anomenclature, as a basic tool for developing the ability to analyse and criticise text (literary, cinematographic, advertising, etc.), as regards the creative manifestation and reflection of the sociocultural context.
  • CP20 : Capacity to use the pertinent materials and resources: bibliographic repertories, dictionaries, works of reference, critical editions, translations and ICTs as an independent learner able to control one's own learning process and make the corresponding independent progress.

  • CA22 : Be able to value and take advantage of multilingualism and multiculturalism as a social agent participating in the construction of a plural and tolerant society on the basis of the multicultural configuration of the Spanish-speaking world.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2011-12

Las clases teóricas de la materia consistirán en la exposición sumaria de los contenidos de cada bloque por

parte del profesor. Esta exposición introducirá al alumno en las coordenadas históricas y culturales que enmarcan

cada uno de los textos que se van a tratar en las clases prácticas.

Las clases prácticas consistirán en el estudio de textos literarios representativos de cada tema desarrollado en

las clases teóricas, comentarios comparativos de textos y análisis lingüísticos estructurales sencillos. Los textos se

presentarán en árabe y en su versión castellana.
