Este es un curso introductorio en Matemáticas para la Economía. Se revisan los instrumentos más frecuentemente usados en el desarrollo del Analisis Económico. El principal objetivo es proporcionar a los estudiantes las bases para que posteriomente ellos puedan desarrollar su investigación en este campo
Se revisan los conceptos básicos de Algebra Lineal y Análisis Matemático. El curso cubre también algunos tópicos de optimización, ecuaciones diferenciales y en diferencias. El curso es práctico, pero se hace especial hincapié en realizar una revisión sistemática de los conceptos teóricos más imprtantes.

Evaluation will be based on a combination of a midterm exam (40%), work in class out of the problem sets (10%) and the final exam (50% of the grade)
Retake for those students not passing: 90% +10% of the problem sets
The midterm exam is recoverable at the time of the final exam and in the retake.
