El Trabajo Fin de Grado (TFG) se imparte en el segundo semestre de cuarto curso. Su carga lectiva es de 6 créditos ECTS, que se traducirán en 150 horas del estudiante.
El TFG está regulado por lo que dispone el plan de estudios, por la normativa general de la UA al respecto, así como por el Reglamento sobre TFG/Trabajos Fin de Master desarrollada por la Facultad de Derecho.
- La Comisión del TFG del Grado en Criminología hará pública la relación de propuestas del TFG en el plazo que establezca el Centro.
- El/la estudiante matriculado/a en el TFG deberá necesariamente en su solicitud, indicar el orden de preferencia de todas las propuestas ofertadas en los plazos que se habiliten anualmente para ello.
- Cada alumno/a podrá plantear propuestas de acuerdo con el Reglamento de TFG/TFM de la Facultad de Derecho
- La Comisión de TFG del Grado en Criminología realizará la asignación provisional de cada estudiante a una de las propuestas de acuerdo con los criterios que cada año determine la propia Comisión de Grado.
- La asignación provisional de propuestas será publicada por la Comisión de TFG en Criminología en los plazos que anualmente se habiliten para ello, pudiendo los/as estudiantes formular frente a ella reclamación en el plazo máximo de cinco días.
- Transcurrido el plazo para presentar reclamación y, en su caso, examinadas las que se hayan formulado, la Comisión académica hará pública la resolución definitiva.
Como prerrequisitos, el plan de estudios prevé que:
- Para la evaluación el Trabajo de Fin de Grado se debe acreditar como mínimo un nivel B1 del marco de Referencia Europeo para las lenguas modernas, aunque se recomienda el B2.
- Asimismo, para cursar la asignatura Trabajo Fin de Grado, el alumnado debe cumplir los requisitos establecidos en la “Normativa de permanencia y continuación de estudios para los estudiantes matriculados en Títulos de Grado de la Universidad de Alicante”.

El TFG consistirá en un trabajo original, autónomo y personal, que cada estudiante realizará bajo la orientación de un tutor/a, y que podrá consistir, en los términos que establezca la Comisión académica del Grado en Criminología, en un trabajo de investigación o trabajos aplicados asociados al título.
Se establecerá entre los profesores del Centro un listado de tutores, fijando un número máximo de trabajos que será tutelado por cada docente.
El tutor/a deberá fijar claramente con el estudiante el tema y los objetivos del trabajo de fin de grado; supervisar el proceso de elaboración del trabajo de fin de grado; y dar el visto bueno a la presentación y defensa del trabajo de fin de grado.
La memoria del TFG podrá ser redactada y defendida en cualquiera de las lenguas cooficiales de la Comunitat Valenciana. El TFG podrá ser redactado en inglés, a petición del estudiante, previa autorización del tutor o tutora.
El TFG podrá contemplar, de acuerdo con lo establecido en el plan de estudios, la realización de prácticas externas, la asistencia a seminarios u otro tipo de actividades presenciales que se consideren de interés para la realización de dicho trabajo.
En el caso de los alumnos del itinerario en investigación privada, el TFG requerirá la asistencia a una serie de talleres, así como la presentación de una memoria. Normas de estilo
A continuación se indican una serie de recomendaciones para la correcta presentación de la memoria del Trabajo Fin de Grado:
1. La extensión mínima será de 20 páginas y se recomienda una extensión máxima de 30 páginas.
2. El TFG debe estar redactado en castellano o valenciano. Podrá ser redactado en inglés a petición del estudiante, previa autorización del tutor o tutora. Dicha autorización deberá ser presentada al/a la secretario/a del tribunal.
3. Los márgenes de impresión deben ser los siguientes:
o Superior: 2.5
o Inferior 2,5 cm,
o Izquierdo/ derecho 3,0 cm
4. Tipo de Letra: Times New Roman con un tamaño de 12 puntos. Interlineado 1.5.
5. Las notas a pie de página estarán redactadas en letra Times New Roman, tamaño 10, con interlineado sencillo.
6. El TFG debe llevar todas las páginas numeradas.
7. El TFG deberá incluir una portada (modelo de portada)
8. El TFG debe llevar un índice de contenidos
9. Como norma general se recomienda seguir la siguiente estructura de contenidos

10. Cualquier cita bibliográfica deberá ir entrecomillada y referenciada a pie de página.
11. Deberá cumplir cualquiera de las normas formales al uso (MLA, Harvard, APA, ISO, etc) sobre citación, bibliografía, numeración y ordenación adecuada de capítulos, etc.

Los TFGs serán evaluados por un Tribunal designado a tal efecto en los períodos legalmente establecidos.
Los Tribunales evaluadores deliberarán sobre la calificación tomando en consideración la memoria del TFG y la defensa realizada por el/la estudiante.
Con carácter general, habrá dos modalidades de defensa del TFG, defensa oral o defensa escrita. Corresponde al tribunal comunicar al estudiante la modalidad de defensa.
En la modalidad de defensa escrita el Tribunal deliberará sobre la calificación que le corresponde teniendo en cuenta:
- el rigor académico formal y material del trabajo,
- la claridad expositiva del mismo y el documento de defensa de su trabajo con arreglo al formato establecido.
En la modalidad de defensa oral, el Tribunal tendrá en cuenta:
- el rigor académico formal y material del trabajo
- la claridad expositiva del mismo y el documento de defensa de su trabajo con arreglo al formato establecido,
- la capacidad de debate y defensa argumental del estudiante ante el Tribunal.
La calificación numérica y cualitativa obtenida se hará constar en el acta, que será firmada por la totalidad de miembros del tribunal.
El sistema de calificaciones será el previsto en el artículo 5.4 del Real decreto 1125/2003, de 5 de septiembre, por el que se establece el sistema europeo de créditos y el sistema de calificaciones en las titulaciones universitarias de carácter oficial y validez en todo el territorio nacional. La calificación se adecuará a la escala numérica de 0 a 10 con expresión de un decimal, a la que podrá añadirse su correspondiente calificación cualitativa:
• 0-4,9: Suspenso (SS)
• 5,0-6,9: Aprobado (AP)
• 7,0-8,9: Notable (NT)
• 9,0-10: Sobresaliente (SB)
La mención de matrícula de honor se realizará, de forma unificada, considerando el número de matriculados en el Trabajo de Fin de Grado y curso académico. Cada Tribunal evaluador podrá proponer a la Comisión de TFG asignar la calificación de Matrícula de Honor a alguno de los TFG. Una vez finalizada la evaluación de todos los TFG, la Comisión de TFG asignará las Matrículas de Honor correspondientes en función de la nota media del expediente de los estudiantes.
