Esta asignatura empieza a trabajar la adquisición del nivel B2 (según el Marco Europeo de Referencia) en la comunicación oral y escrita en inglés en el ámbito del sector turístico, asentando a la vez las competencias adquiridas en el curso anterior (nivel B1).

General Competences acquired at University of Alicante (CGUA)
- CGUA1 : Understand and express oneself in a foreign language in one's discipline.
- CGUA2 : Be able to use basic ICT tools at user level.
- CGUA4 : Be able to commit oneself ethically with sustainability, fundamental rights, equality of men and women, the principles of equal opportunity and universal accessibility for the disabled, as well as the values of a peaceful, democratic culture.
Specific Competences (CE)
- CE1 : Understand the principles of tourism: its spatial, social, cultural, legal, political, labour and economic dimension.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2012-13
1. Asentar el nivel de competencia lingüística B1, según el Marco Europeo de Referencia, y empezar con la adquisición del nivel B2 que se completará en la asignatura Inglés de Turismo III.
2. Trabajar las destrezas de recepción/producción escrita/oral en determinados sectores del ámbito turístico (mercado laboral, destinos vacacionales, hoteles, tour operadores, agencias de viaje, restauración, tradiciones, festivales y fiestas locales).
