Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2017-18

Placed as the last technological subject in the study plan the students must be able to gather all the information received in the previous courses and, in an integrated way, develop a project. The link between design and construction is the main objective of this subjet offering the students the possibility of developing a project in teams under an international scenario. The students must be aware at the end of the course of the results of certain designs and construction technics over the user of the building. The relation with the International Marjal Healthy Chair, with a wide experience organizing international teaching experiences, will allow the students participant in international workshops about construction and healthy solutions.

  • CG17 : Ability to apply knowledge to practice. Ability to technify any conceptual discourse with processes that can be applied to reality.

  • CG41 : Ability to design and manage proposals that involve social and environmental responsibility. Capacity to understand the commitment to the social and physical environment involved in the transformation processes of the same.

  • CE15 : Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban units and execute foundation solutions.

  • CE41 : Ability to resolve passive environmental conditioning, including thermal and acoustic insulation, climate control, energy efficiency and natural lighting.
  • CE60 : Understand civil, administrative and town planning regulations concerning building and industry as they affect one's professional activities.
