Adhesion and joining of materials
Master in Materials Science

Adhesion is critical in most of materials when processes involving corrosion, adsorption, surface contamination and catalysis are important. Adhesion principles allow design the processing of materials and durability, ageing or degradation can be controlled. On the other hand, the joining of materials needs the input of the principles of Adhesion for assuring adequate performance in several applications in building and construction, transportation vehicles, alternative energy systems, plastics and lamination, packaging, footwear and electronic industry among other.

To the best of our knowledge, there is no courses dealing with joining of materials nor in the formulation and design of adhesives, these aspects are currently essential in Comunidad Valenciana and in the Spanish and European industry as well.
