Competencies and objectives

Course context for academic year 2017-18

Polymer Science
Master in Materials Science

The polymers are commonly used in several industrial applications and they have a great current interest in Research. Although the polymers have been used for years, there is a lack of sufficient knowledge on the structure-property relationship. The main objective of the course is to provide an overview of the main structural aspects of the polymers for giving tools in the design of specific applications. The main structural characterization of the polymers will be revised too.

The course is essential in the Comunidad Valenciana because of the prime importance of the polymers in the industry. However, there is no courses at Graduated leven dealing with the polymers in sufficient extent, this course is essential for the broad understanding of these important materials.
