  • CEE1 : Understand the fundamentals of the science and technology of carbon materials.
  • CEE10 : Understand the fundamental aspects of nanoscience and nanomaterials.
  • CEE2 : Understand the main applications of carbon materials at technical, industrial and domestic level.
  • CEE3 : Understand the structure, properties and applications of porous carbon materials.
  • CEE4 : Understand the fundamentals of the interaction of gases, vapours and liquids with solid surfaces.
  • CEE5 : Understand the most important aspects of Heterogeneous Catalysis, both from the microscopic (surface phenomena) and macroscopic viewpoints (repair of catalysers), as well as their importance in the chemical industry.
  • CEE6 : Understand transient kinetics techniques (gas permutation techniques, programmed temperature and gas pulse techniques and transient isotopic techniques) both their technical description and their experimental development.
  • CEE7 : Understand the theoretical basis, methodology and applications of the different Thermal Analysis techniques.
  • CEE8 : Understand the methods of synthesis, properties and applications of zeolithic materials and mesostructured solids.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2014-15

Introducir al alumno en la metodología y teórica de las diferentes técnicas que constituyen el conjunto de las técnicas de Análisis Térmico, analizándose, para ello, tanto los aspectos meramente instrumentales de cada una de ellas, como los fundamentos fisico-químicos que gobiernan el comportamiento térmico de las sustancias, a fin de establecer la relación existente entre las propiedades de las sustancias con las medidas experimentales efectuadas, nexo que permitirá estudiar las aplicaciones prácticas de tales técnicas.
