  • CEF2 : Understand the fundamental concepts of Solid State Physics to apply it to carrying out research (in both the academic and professional fields) in Materials Science.

  • CEF5 : Understand the most important properties of materials (mechanical, electrical, optical, etc.)
  • CEF6 : Classify materials according to properties and applications.
  • CEF7 : Determine the appropriate characterisation techniques for each kind of material.

1)    Familiarise con los principios físicos que nos permiten comprender las propiedades de la materia en estado sólido

2)    Comprender la importancia del carácter cristalino en los materiales sólidos

3)    Adquierir nociones básicas sobre redes cristalinas y las técnicas de estudio

4)    Entender la importancia de la dinámica de los electrones en las propiedades de conducción de los materiales

5)    Comprender la importancia del comportamiento cuántico de los electrones en metales

6)    Entender el origen de las bandas de energía en sólidos y nociones básicas de cálculo
