La Pedagogía de la Religión aborda el tema de qué es educar en la fe y en la vida cristiana. La Didáctica de la religión se centra en cómo enseñar la Religión y Moral católica, es decir, cómo enseñar la fe y la vida cristiana. La Didáctica de la religión, como área curricular que es, recibe de la reforma educativa de la LOMCE las indicaciones de cómo enseñar y qué enseñar en la asignatura de religión.
Esta asignatura es básica e imprescindible para obtener la DECA (Declaración Eclesiástica de Competencia Académica), que otorga la Conferencia Episcopal Española y te acredita para dar clase Religión (24 ects). El Instituto Superior de Ciencias Religiosas “San Pablo” de Alicante ofrece la posibilidad de cursar las asignaturas restantes para conseguir el título
