Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2013-14

Introducir el problema de la seguridad de la información. Conocer la criptografía clásica y el criptoanálisis.

Conocer las especiales características de las distintas técnicas de cifrado de clave simétrica (cifrado en flujo y en bloque) y asimétrica (clave pública).

Dominar las estrategias más adecuadas a seguir para proteger la información en función de sus características.

Realizar prácticas de cifrado y criptoanálisis.

Conocer el estado del arte en el uso de técnicas criptográficas para la protección de la información, así como los niveles de seguridad que se consideran aceptables y las tendencias a corto y medio plazo.
