Course context for academic year 2016-17

La asignatura “Patología del Sistema Visual Humano” imparte los conocimientos básicos de Patología General (Fisiopatología) necesarios para la mejor comprensión de la Patología Ocular Clínica que los alumnos cursarán en el tercer año de la titulación. De esta forma, se pretende que el alumno aprenda la historia, el concepto y las partes de la Patología General, las causas y los mecanismos básicos implicados en los procesos patológicos, las formas comunes de enfermar, así como que conozca las patologías sistémicas que pueden provocar repercusiones oculares y/o en la visión. Los Seminarios Teórico-Prácticos están enfocados a la resolución de casos clínicos de diversas patologías oculares en las que están involucrados los procesos de la Patología General (etiopatogenia. fisiopatología, anatomía patológica y sintomatología) explicados en las clases de teoría.

Specific competences (CE):>>Module 2: optics competences

  • CES37 : Understand the Spanish health care system and the basic aspects related to health service management, basically those associated with health care and rehabilitation.
  • CES38 : Acquire the ability to work in teams as multidisciplinary and unidisciplinary units made up of visual health professionals and other personnel.
  • CES39 : Acquire the ability to carry out the profession respecting the autonomy of the patients, their beliefs and culture, as well as their determining genetic, demographic and socioeconomic factors, applying the principles of social justice and understanding the ethical implications in the context of a world in change.

 

Specific competences (CE):>>Module 3: vision system pathology competences

  • CES46 : Understand the pharmacological actions, collateral effects and interactions of medicines.
  • CES47 : Understand topical ocular preparations, paying special attention to the use of medicines that facilitate visual examination and optometrics.

 

Specific competences (CE):>>Module 4: optometry competences

  • CES54 : Develop communication, data recording and clinical history preparation skills.
