Course context for academic year 2016-17

La Bioquímica moderna, junto con la Biología Molecular, son claves para los avances continuos que se producen en el conocimiento del funcionamiento molecular de los seres vivos y se han convertido en uno de los principales exponentes de lo que se conoce como economía basada en el conocimiento. La metodología derivada de la Biología Molecular y, en especial de la Ingeniería Genética, se ha ido extendiendo con el tiempo a fines muy diversos (aislamiento, clonaje, hibridación, secuenciación, etc.) para dar lugar a una Biotecnología Molecular. De ahí que, uno de los objetivos de esta asignatura consista en estudiar los principios de los métodos y las técnicas más comunes, aquellos de mayor impacto y utilidad en la investigación básica y en el laboratorio clínico. Es decir, esta asignatura tiene como objetivo aproximar al alumno a los fundamentos y aplicaciones de los principales recursos técnicos y metodológicos, y estrategias experimentales empleados en el campo de la Biología Molecular.

  • CE36 : Prepare, present and defend scientific reports both in writing and orally in front of an audience.
