Course context for academic year 2016-17

La elaboración de un Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) es un requisito obligatorio para concluir las enseñanzas de cada Grado (RD 1393/2007, art. 12.3). Debe realizarse en la fase final del Plan de Estudios y su objetivo primordial es mostrar de forma integrada la consecución de los objetivos formativos del Grado y la adquisición de las competencias asociadas con este título.El trabajo concreto a realizar estará de acuerdo con los contenidos específicos que el alumno decida escoger dentro de las líneas de trabajo propuestas por las áreas participantes en el TFG correspondiente al grado en el que está matriculado. Será tutelado por un profesor del área de conocimiento escogida.Los TFG se adaptarán a la normativa general establecida por la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, aunque en cada una de los distintos Grados ligados a los estudios filológicos se podrá desarrollar más detalladamente los requisitos necesarios para su realización (como extensión y características de los trabajos, lenguas en las que deberá realizarse la defensa, resumen previo, etc.)La asignatura Trabajo Fin de Grado se relaciona pues con todas aquellas que el alumnado ha cursado en su plan de estudios y a través de ella se comprobará las competencias adquiridas en su grado.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Understand the key theories of the disciplines associated with Arab and Islamic Studies and apply them in practice to be able to operate appropriately in the different professional profiles accessible through the degree qualification or undertake further studies with a high level of autonomy.
  • CE10 : Understand the original space of Islam, its expansion and the basic points of reference regarding religion and historical and social evolution in Islamic and its host societies, to understand and interpret the different cultural, literary, artistic and philosophical materials produced by Islamic culture.
  • CE11 : Interpret the social and political history of the Arab world to understand and interpret the role of social and political phenomena in the construction of classical and contemporary thinking.
  • CE12 : Understand a second language of those proposed in the degree course.
  • CE13 : Understand and analyse the main stages, movements, authors and works of literature in a second language of those proposed in the degree course.
  • CE2 : Communicate in standard Arabic, orally and in writing, so as to interact satisfactorily in the academic and professional contexts that can be accessed with the degree qualification.
  • CE3 : Understand the specific linguistic characteristics of Arabic to use it correctly and apply said characteristics to the analysis, understanding, production and adaptation of Arabic in its oral and written forms, as well as linguistic contrast and translation.
  • CE4 : Understand the geographical varieties of Arabic and communicate in Arabic dialects (Maghreb and Eastern) to interact satisfactorily in the professional contexts accessible through of the degree qualification.
  • CE5 : Capacity to interpret, produce and develop academic descriptions and arguments and/or technical reports related to the professional contexts that can be accessed with the degree qualification.
  • CE6 : Understand a non-Islamic Arabic language (Persian) and its specific cultural development within Islamic civilisation as a manifestation of its creativity and as a reflection of the diverse sociocultural context of Islamic countries.
  • CE7 : Understand the characteristics and evolution of literature in the Arabic language to understand the role of its manifestations in building classical and contemporary literary thinking and assess its impact on the Arab social context and its relationship with other literatures.
  • CE8 : Identify literary currents, their categories, concepts and nomenclature as a tool to analyse and criticise literary texts in Arabic.
  • CE9 : Analyse and interpret historical, geographical, religious and scientific texts and discourses in Arabic, using appropriate techniques for analysis.

 

Transversal Competences

  • CGUA2 : Be able to use basic ICT tools at user level.
  • CGUA3 : Be able to express oneself correctly in one of the two official languages of the Region of Valencia in one's discipline.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2016-17

Objetivos formativos: 1. Plantear un proyecto de trabajo 2. Recabar de diversas fuentes y sintetizar críticamente la información relacionada con el tema de trabajo. 3. Organizar de forma ordenada y coherente los objetivos, la metodología, el análisis y las conclusiones del trabajo. 4. Redactar de forma correcta y precisa. 5. Exponer oralmente de forma clara y ordenada los resultados del trabajo. 6. Debatir y defender las ideas y conclusiones del trabajo. 7. Redactar un resumen del trabajo en una de las lenguas extranjeras utilizadas en el proceso formativo.   Objetivos específicos aportados por el profesorado: La realización de un trabajo, ya sea bibliográfico o resumen de experiencias formativas desarrolladas en un ámbito de trabajo relacionado con los Estudios Árabes e islámicos tutelado fuera de la universidad. Este trabajo permitirá evaluar la aplicación y desarrollo de las competencias y conocimientos adquiridos por el alumnado en el Grado. La relación de las líneas temáticas susceptibles de ser desarrolladas como Trabajo fin de Grado son las propias de las asignaturas del Grado, más las que el Área de Estudios Árabes e islámicos pueda ofertar puntualmente cada curso. Además este catálogo temático puede incluir las siguientes líneas de trabajo: El inglés en las Ciencias Humanísticas. Español Lengua Extranjera. Lingüística General y Aplicada. Literatura española.
