Course context for academic year 2017-18

El objetivo de este curso es proporcionar a los estudiantes las herramientas necesarias para el estudio de la sociedad. El hombre vive en sociedad y aprende, a través de la experiencia, a sobrevivir en la misma. Qué es la sociedad, los mecanismos de su funcionamiento, la adaptación a la misma, las reglas de convivencia, la racionalidad e irracionalidad de muchas de nuestras actuaciones son parte de los interrogantes que la antropología social como ciencia pretende explicar. Proporciona conocimientos sobre el análisis de la realidad social y su conocimiento está fundamentado en el estudio de las sociedades en todas sus esferas de acción (ecológica, económica, familiar, política, religiosa, simbólica, etc.), ofreciendo un marco adecuado para conocer las sociedades del siglo XXI caracterizadas por la diversidad cultural. El perfil profesional está orientado no sólo a la docencia sino a la gestión y difusión cultural tanto en el ámbito privado como en el público, además de una formación humanística orientada a completar la formación de cualquier profesional.

  • CE1 : Understand human behaviour in society using specific methods and techniques of analysis and, in this way, develop the ethical commitment to gender equality and a special capacity for interpersonal relationships.
  • CE4 : Understand contemporary territorial, socioeconomic, political and cultural reality, national and international, to interpret and transmit one's view of the modern world in critical fashion particularly the process of European integration, as well as the shaping of the Spanish state and its impact on the world.
  • CE5 : Assess and interpret the cultural diversity of the Region of Valencia, contrasting the indigenous cultures of the region with other cultures with which relations and contacts are established, using the official languages as the vehicles for interaction.
  • CE8 : Acquire skills to prepare and display content related to the human and social sciences for dissemination and for educating secondary school children, using personal skills and ICT.
